Jessica Jarlvi in conversation with Paul Blezard

Jessica Jarlvi gained a BSc Hons in publishing and Business and worked in UK publishing before heading to Chicago, U.S.A. and editing a magazine for expats. In 2016 she submitted a novel entitled When I Wake Up for the Montegrappa First Fiction Award at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature and counted herself among the winners.

Now a highly regarded author of psychological thrillers, whose use of the spare, bleak landscape of her native Sweden and the characters it forms will be familiar to fans of Henning Mankel, Jarlvi is on flying form in this wide ranging conversation about authorship, the darker side of humanity and her most recent work, What Did I Do?
